The i4i Life Sciences Accelerator programme has been developed by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and experienced medtech industry experts to help researchers who are applying for funding to improve their chances of success.
In the current economic climate, good research is not always enough to get new medical technologies into the health arena. Increasingly, funding bodies and investors are seeking stronger applications and robust business plans before committing funds.
Based on the highly successful Henley Accelerator and hosted by the Henley Business School, the i4i Life Sciences Accelerator programme provides specialist advice and support to help participants develop their business skills and enable them to construct well-crafted applications and business plans.
This intensive two-part residential course comprises a mixture of presentations, workshops and break-out sessions led by experts with direct experience of owning, growing and managing medtech businesses. The programme will also enable participants to plan and develop content for funding applications and business plans.
In addition, the programme offers participants the opportunity to network with experienced medtech professionals and other attendees, helping them to grow to understand their personal goals and business objectives whilst forming a supportive peer group.
Who should attend?
Small and/or early-stage companies, academics and clinicians applying to i4i or other medical-based funds, or seeking investment to develop prototype medical technologies.
