The smart materials sector of materials ktn and the bsi are offering a one day workshop to discuss the standards required for hard surfaces with intrinsic anti-microbial characteristics.

This workshop is designed to provide an overview of existing standards and assess their suitability to hard surfaces with intrinsic antimicrobial characteristics. This is an important initiative that could provide material suppliers with a sound basis upon which to make marketing claims. It will also allow researchers, manufacturers and users to draw comparisons between materials claimed to be antimicrobial and choose those appropriate to their environment.
