Innovation, Advice and Guidance Grant (IAG)

Healthcare and bioscience companies typically operate in a global market in which intellectual property rights and regulatory barriers are key issues. Also, raising finance and marketing present hurdles because of the problems of communicating complex technologies to people outside the sector.

The IAG grant is aimed at companies with the potential to turn new ideas into new business.

Who’s it for?

The IAG grant is for small and medium sized enterprises* based in the East Midlands wishing to undertake a healthcare or bioscience innovation project.

What's it for?

The IAG grant can support companies to purchase external expertise to help manage their innovation projects more effectively. This could be the development of a novel technology or process, or a new product or service.

The value of the grant ranges from £1,000 to £10,000. Exceptionally, applications for grants up to a maximum of £15,000 may be considered. The company must match the grant in cash on a 50:50 basis.

Your choice of service provider should be based on a fair, transparent procurement process involving consideration of at least three suppliers, competence to undertake the service and value for money.

How do I apply for a grant?

To apply for a grant, contact one of our Innovation Advisers on 0115 912 4332 or email info@medilinkem.com.

We will then arrange a visit to find out more about your innovation project and how it will help take your business forward.

If your business meets the eligibility criteria, you will need to complete an application form.
